Shady Grove’s Preteen ministry is a division of the Children’s Ministry. The preteen program has been designed for students in the 5th and 6th grades. In this program we will focus on strengthening their relationships with GOD and others. We will also target new issues preteens face as they make the transition to becoming youth.
We will create a loving, Christ centered environment where they can grow their faith as they continue their walk with GOD.

The Leavening Agency will direct all aspects of a week-long Performing Arts Day Camp for children, ending with the performance of a full-length Christian musical on Friday evening. Bring a bagged lunch!
· At Shady Grove for Rising 3rd-6th graders
· July 28-Aug. 1, 9-3 pm each day
· Performance on the 1st @ 7 pm

The preteents went to Mt. Shepherd retreat center on April 27, 2008. It was an exciting day. The day began with sunshine, worship and a cookout. Then they rode in the canoes and paddle boats. A few of us were brave enough to swim in the cold water. Then, we begin to hike up to the Mountain top. During our hike, a rain storm caught us at the top of the mountain and we had quite an adventure trying to return. Thankfully the church van was able to come and get us. We had fun yet we are thankful we made it down the Mountain safely. What a day! 
Preteen collected 1286.13 cents for famine relief. The preteens brought an awareness to the congregation and with the mission box total we have $2300 so far to send to World Vision. Amazing compassion!
